UH announces parking changes for 2010 football season
The Houston Cougars football team kicks off the 2010 season Saturday, September 4, versus Texas State, at 7pm Robertson Stadium.
For the first time, the lots surrounding Robertson Stadium are sold out with permits allocated to Cougar Pride members. With the increased number of fans attending Houston football this season, all are encouraged to carefully review the following procedures and directions to your respective parking locations.
If you are purchasing game day parking in the blue or green lots, fans will need to purchase parking for each additional parking stall used for tailgating.
Directions to Parking Lot Locations: With the addition of the Teal and Brown lots and with the parking reaching full capacity, fans will be required to enter their lot at the required entry points. Please click here for a detailed map.
If you've heard me on the sports talk shows, visited my other blogs, and / or seen me on Facebook, you will learn I'm a very proud graduate of the University of Houston.
I'm posting this to spread the word about the University of Houston's athletics. This video is from Mack Rhoades, UH's athletics director:
PARKING Fans should note that the March of Dimes will be holding its March for Babies on the east side (Cullen Boulevard) side of Robertson Stadium this weekend.
As a result, parking for the Red & White Spring Game only will be available on the west side (Scott Street) of Robertson Stadium. Fans should enter the Robertson Stadium parking lots off Scott Street only!
GATE ENTRY Gate No.1, No. 4 and No. 7 will open for public entry at 11 a.m.
CONCESSIONS For fans' comfort and hunger, concessions stands will be open at Gate No. 1, No. 4 and No. 7 prior to and during the Red & White Spring Game.
MERCHANDISE Fans have a chance to buy the latest Cougar gear and take advantage of some bargains during the annual Red & White Spring Game. Cougar Authentic will be located at Gate No. 1 at Robertson Stadium. Fans can enjoy 50 percent off all merchandise during the Spring Fan Frenzy.
I received info about this yesterday; and, I'll watch it this Sunday.

The “Ford HBCU Business Classic” provides behind-the-scenes footage of the students preparing for the competition, meeting the celebrity judges, and highlights from the competition including the presentations and judges’ selection process. The five finalist teams hailed from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL; Lincoln University in Chester County, PA; and Howard University in Washington, DC.
